What’s This? A New Template….?
Yep – and it is about darn time, don’t you think. It took a trip around the world to get me inspired again…unfortunately, it was my niece who saw the sites, I’m just enjoying the pictures.
One set of photos she took she subtitled “Love is everywhere” – and, indeed, she found more than two dozen examples. Of graffiti*.
Yes, I hate vandalism (and it does seem especially heinous in such old world settings) but the images as a whole did tell a certain story. A story I wanted to share if I could just find a way. Philately seemed to present an ideal spread – and I do think it worked out quite well. I could easily see this template applied to any cohesive set of photos; baby pictures, school photos (10 stamps gets you K-9), the vegetables you grew, the pets you’ve had…. I used Italian postage, since these were taken on her trip there, but it would easily adapt to US postage – or your own custom family mark
It isn’t visible at all on this small version, and barely on the full size one, but there is actually a “message of love” on the two figures in the central ’stamp’

* Which, I suppose, is fitting since graffiti is an Italian word.
