Template 7
March 01st 2008I wanted a way to use a couple of “throw-away” shots of our trips to Desemboque, Mexico. Once I started assembling the page, though, I found a definite story - I guess the weren’t throw-away shots after all.
All these templates are created in Photoshop CS. Most will have a black background layer, and brightly colored shape layers. I use the bright colors to make sure you can see the edges after creating your clipping mask. Some layers have styles applied already, some are simply shapes. I hope you can find some helpful things here..and, if you do, let me know.

I am not sure this one turned out the way I wanted. I liked the idea of seeing him through the window, but it just never jelled for me. If you use this template (or any of them) post a link so I can see how you interpreted it.
If you are into digital scrapbooking (and since you are here, I assume you are) you must, must, MUST visit Gaucho Girl and check out her goodies.
All sorts of doo-dads and whats-its to download and use in your projects.
Enjoy!
P.S. As soon as I get a chance, I am going to create a template/page that uses her stuff.
Here is the first one for ya’
Like I said, you’ve gotta have Photoshop and you’ve gotta know how to use it.
Apparently, I don’t have the layout, laid out….yet
Trying some more to make sure I have the layout workin’ before I start posting.
So I need this to be a bit longer of a post. Maybe I’ll put a quote or two in it.
“I have often thought that if photography were difficult in the true sense of the term-meaning that the creation of a simple photograph would entail as much time and effort as the production of a good watercolor or etching-there would be a vast improvement in total output. The sheer ease with which we can produce a superficial image often leads to creative disaster.”

Maybe another
In my mind’s eye, I visualize how a particular . . . sight and feeling will appear on a print. If it excites me, there is a good chance it will make a good photograph. It is an intuitive sense, an ability that comes from a lot of practice.

Lets see how that works.
cause I need to figure this out
