I am Vox, a child of the sixties, without the hippie leanings. I generally vote Republican because they tend to be more fiscally and bureaucratically conservative – though not nearly as conservative as I would like.
My Word of Mouth circle consists of large family and some close friends. Most of the circle tend to lean away from themes that might be considered risqué or not acceptable in mixed company, therefore those types of movies, etc will score lower on the scale, since I won’t be recommending them.
Using the 40-Year Old Virgin as an example, you will see it is a movie I really enjoyed, but only gave 2 of 5 on the WOM Scale because I knew it was too crass for most of the circle. King Kong got 4.5 of 5 because the gory bits were fleeting and the rest of the film made up for it.
