About Gonzo
I feel that Hollywood has started to water itself down and is slowly running out of ideas. It has been relegated to doing remakes of classic films just to ultimately make them worse (The Longest Yard).
To put it simply, Hollywood has lost their balls. They don’t make great rated R comedies anymore, and when one does come around (40-Year Old Virgin), it usually doesn’t stand up to the classics like a Caddyshack, Stripes, or Meatballs. Yes, I realize that all those movies star Bill Murray. He’s the greatest, what do you want out of me?
Musically, I find myself in flux. I just like good music. I don’t care if it is rock, rap, R&B, or whatever. If its good music, I’m usually into it. At the moment, I’m listening to Mike Doughty, former front man of Soul Coughing (you know the song “Super Bon Bon”). I would like rap more if most of it wasn’t “I’ve got more money than you” songs. The group I’m really digging on now is a Seattle-based group called The Blue Scholars.
